Information Sharing This guidance has been reviewed throughout to reflect additions to the statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Safe Recruitment, Selection and Supervision of Staff This guidance has been updated as a result of the UK’s exit from the European Union. Information was added on how employers can now check that an individual has the right to work in the UK during the recruitment process.
Allegations Against Persons who Work with Children (including Carers and Volunteers) This guidance has been reviewed and updated as required to reflect recent amendments to Working Together to Safeguard Children. A fourth bullet point / criteria was added in Section 1, Introduction to include situations where an individual in those settings has behaved or may have behaved in a way that indicates they may not be suitable to work with children. This is to capture concerns around transferable risk; for example where a person who works with children is involved in a domestic abuse incident at home and this may have implications for their suitability to work with children.

Working Well with Children and Families in Lancashire

These new documents set out how practitioners can work with families to build on their strengths and come together across agencies to put the child at the centre of our work. It is designed to ensure that we give families who are experiencing challenges the advice, information and support they need that helps them make a positive difference to their lives.

Part One and Part Two contain a summary and overview and a detailed guide to Working Well with Children and Families in Lancashire.
Part Three contains individual local authority guidance setting out how services are delivered in each local area including contact details.
